Prescott, AZ — A 73-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash on East Gurley Street late Friday night, according to the Prescott Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection with Montezuma Street. The man was riding a motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, struck a curb, and was thrown from the bike.
Emergency crews from the Prescott Fire Department and EMS provided aid before transporting him to Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s west campus, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities stated that witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the incident. Investigators are looking into the possibility of impairment as a contributing factor.
