Motorcycle Rider Injured After Fleeing DPS in Scottsdale
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A motorcycle rider was injured after a crash following a pursuit by Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Loop 101 near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Authorities said the rider, who has not been identified, lost control and crashed after attempting to evade law enforcement.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the rider to a local hospital with serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and no fatalities were reported.
According to DPS, the circumstances leading to the pursuit are still under investigation. Westbound lanes of Loop 101 were temporarily closed for the response and investigation, causing significant traffic delays.
