Motorcycle Crash in Barren County Claims Life of Glasgow Resident
GLASGOW, KY – A motorcycle accident on KY 90 resulted in the death of 29-year-old Zachary Raney on October 1 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
Authorities said Raney was traveling eastbound when he lost control of the motorcycle, crossing into the westbound lane. The motorcycle then collided with a pickup truck, leading to the fatal incident.
Emergency responders from the KENTUCKY STATE POLICE and local medical services arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Despite efforts to provide medical aid, Raney was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 37-year-old male, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities closed the eastbound lanes of KY 90 for several hours while crews cleared the wreckage and conducted their investigation into the accident.
