Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Lumberton Crash
LUMBERTON, TX—A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries following a collision with an SUV on U.S. Highway 69 on October 3 around 5:30 p.m.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the motorcycle, traveling northbound, was struck by the SUV, which was making a turn. The rider, a 32-year-old male, was ejected from the motorcycle.
Witnesses reported that bystanders immediately performed CPR until emergency medical services arrived. The rider was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Authorities shut down the northbound lanes for approximately two hours while emergency responders managed the scene and conducted their investigation. The SUV driver did not report any injuries, and no charges have been filed at this time.
