Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-64 West in Newport News
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving multiple vehicles on I-64 West near J. Clyde Morris Boulevard on October 18, 2023, at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to the NEWPORT NEWS POLICE, the collision involved three vehicles, including a motorcycle. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but the motorcyclist succumbed to injuries. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
Authorities reported that all westbound lanes of I-64 were closed for several hours as the investigation took place, causing significant traffic delays in the area. Towing operations were conducted to clear vehicles from the roadway.
