Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Lumberton Crash
LUMBERTON, TX – A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries following a collision on Highway 69 near East Street on October 15 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident involved two vehicles, a motorcycle and a passenger car. The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old male, was thrown from the motorcycle upon impact. Witnesses reported a bystander performed CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene.
Emergency responders from the Lumberton Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance transported the injured motorcyclist to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
Authorities closed two lanes of Highway 69 for approximately two hours while the scene was investigated and cleared. The Texas Department of Public Safety is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.
