Aurora police investigating fatal motorcycle collision with SUV.

AURORA | A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash involving an SUV and a car on Tuesday night at East Mississippi Avenue and South Buckley Road.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m., according to the AURORA POLICE DEPARTMENT. Investigators reported that the SUV, traveling northbound on South Buckley Road, failed to stop at a red light and struck both the motorcycle and an Acura turning left onto East Mississippi Avenue.

Emergency responders pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released.

The drivers of the SUV and Acura reported no injuries. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the SUV is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

“At this time, neither speed nor alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the crash,” said Aurora Police spokesperson Gabby Easterwood.

This incident marks the 23rd motorcycle-related crash in Aurora this year, with nine resulting in fatalities.
