Motorcycle Crash on I-77 in Lexington County Claims Life of Air Force Member
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — A motorcycle accident on I-77 claimed the life of 24-year-old Pablo Marcelo Caballero Molina on June 29 around 2:41 p.m.
According to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Molina was riding southbound at a high rate of speed when he struck a concrete barrier and was ejected from the motorcycle. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Molina had recently moved to South Carolina after joining the Air Force. According to a GoFundMe page established by his former employer, Cafe Crevier in Denville, New Jersey, the fundraiser aims to support his family with funeral and memorial expenses.
As of Monday, the campaign has raised over $4,500. Brittany Crevier, a representative from Cafe Crevier, expressed grief over Molina’s passing, describing him as “family” and highlighting his positive impact on those around him.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. No additional details about lane closures or tows have been released at this time.
