CAMDEN, N.J. — A fatal hit-and-run involving a motorcycle and a stolen vehicle occurred at the intersection of South 7th Street and Jefferson Street.
Camden Police responded to the scene at approximately 6:50 p.m. on August 7. Officers found the motorcyclist, identified as 64-year-old Kenneth “Blane” Smith, unconscious.
Smith was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The motorcycle was struck by a Chevrolet Blazer, which fled the scene.
The stolen vehicle was later discovered unoccupied after allegedly colliding with a parked car in the 2100 block of Master Street.
Detectives are actively searching for the driver. Authorities stated they urge anyone with information to come forward.
