COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) — A motorcycle accident on March 5 has claimed the life of a local woman, Ashley Moore, age 34.
Moore was riding her motorcycle when it collided with a pickup truck near 21st Street and Eastbound Highway 24. She suffered extensive injuries and passed away on March 11 after six days in the hospital.
According to authorities, Moore had been an advocate for addiction recovery, working to regain custody of her two children. She had recently completed a detox program and was preparing for long-term treatment.
Emergency responders transported Moore to the hospital following the collision. Details on her injuries include significant brain trauma and injuries to her body, leading to her family’s decision to end life support.
Moore donated her organs, which saved four lives, fulfilling her wish to help others. Friends are sharing her story to inspire those struggling with addiction.
