GRISWOLD — A motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck claimed the life of a Voluntown man on Saturday evening, according to police.
The deceased motorcyclist was identified as 35-year-old Nathan Timothy Musto. He and a 35-year-old female passenger were ejected during the collision.
The pickup truck, driven by a 58-year-old local man, did not sustain injuries in the incident, authorities said.
Both Musto and his passenger were transported to Backus Hospital. Musto was pronounced dead upon arrival, while his passenger suffered serious injuries, police reported.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stone Hill and Roode roads when Musto struck the right side of the pickup truck.
The Connecticut State Police’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is conducting the investigation.
