Coroner Identifies Man Who Died in Orangeburg County Motorcycle Crash.

EUTAWVILLE, S.C. (WIS) – A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 79-year-old man in Orangeburg County on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Acme Street near Tunita Street. A 1997 Honda Goldwing trike motorcycle was traveling west when it collided with a 2024 Ford SUV making a left turn into a private driveway.

The motorcycle’s driver, identified as William “Bill” Williams, died at the scene. Authorities confirmed there were no other reported injuries.

Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle noted that Williams was a retired training director with Orangeburg County EMS, highlighting his contributions to the community.

Westbound Acme Street was briefly closed for investigation and cleanup. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the incident.
