PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. — A head-on collision on Salt Point Turnpike claimed the life of a 59-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday afternoon, state police reported.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on March 14, emergency responders were dispatched to a crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle and a car near the intersection of Salt Point Turnpike and Van Wagner Road.
Authorities identified the motorcyclist as William G. Coulston from Millbrook, who was operating a 2025 Can-Am Spyder. Preliminary investigations suggest Coulston was traveling west when he crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a Mercedes-Benz.
