One Dead in Motorcycle Crash in Town of Hillsboro
TOWN OF HILLSBORO, Wis. (WXOW) — A motorcycle accident on County Road W resulted in the death of an Elroy man on Saturday evening.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Allen Sugden, 51, was riding westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his motorcycle to leave the roadway around 6 p.m. Sugden was ejected from the motorcycle and later transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by law enforcement. No additional details regarding other vehicles or lane closures were reported.
