Waterloo Officer to Enter Plea Agreement in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
WATERLOO, Iowa — Former police officer Keaton Northup will enter a plea agreement regarding the 2024 motorcycle crash that claimed the life of his girlfriend, Jenna Mills.
According to Iowa court documents, Northup is charged with causing the crash while speeding and operating under the influence. Mills died as a result of the incident.
A court hearing is scheduled where Northup is expected to present the plea agreement. Earlier this week, he filed a motion to dismiss and suppress evidence, requesting a change of venue due to concerns about bias in Black Hawk County. The court granted the motion, suppressing his medical records and blood alcohol test results, and moved the case to Dubuque County.
No further details regarding the plea or upcoming hearings have been released.
