FALLON MOTORCYCLIST DIES AFTER CRASH NEAR VIRGINIA CITY
A 67-year-old Fallon man died Sunday after crashing his motorcycle on State Route 341 north of Virginia City.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), James Edward “Shag” Cooper was riding a bronze 2008 Harley Davidson when he failed to negotiate a turn around 12:00 p.m. His motorcycle struck a guardrail on the west shoulder, ejecting him from the bike.
Cooper sustained critical injuries and was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
