32-Year-Old Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Winona County
Lewiston, MN — A 32-year-old man was killed in a crash at a rural intersection in Winona County on Wednesday morning.
According to the Winona County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were dispatched shortly after 6:00 a.m. to County Roads 12 and 25, near Interstate 90 and approximately seven miles southeast of Lewiston.
Investigators reported that a van traveling south on County Road 25 went through the T-intersection and struck a tree. The driver, identified as Christopher Dvorak of Lewiston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities indicated they do not suspect impairment was a factor in the crash. The Lewiston Ambulance and the Lewiston Fire Department also responded to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures were in effect during emergency response operations.
