GRISWOLD, CT — A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger seriously injured in a collision with a pickup truck Saturday at 4:31 p.m., according to state police.
The crash occurred on Stone Hill Road at its intersection with Roode Road. Authorities reported that the motorcycle struck the right side of the pickup truck, ejecting both riders.
The motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Nathan Musto of Voluntown, was transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger was also taken to Backus Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed. Emergency responders attended the scene, and lane closures were implemented for the investigation.
State Police Troop E is handling the ongoing investigation.
