One dead, one injured in motorcycle crash on Kentucky Highway 144 near Union Star
A motorcycle accident on Kentucky Highway 144 left one person dead and another severely injured on Monday at approximately 3:30 PM.
The incident occurred in the 14,000 block of Highway 144. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, the deceased’s identity has not yet been released as family notifications are ongoing. The injured individual was airlifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Emergency responders from Breck Central EMS, Hardinsburg Fire, and the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office were dispatched to the scene. The road was briefly closed for investigation and recovery efforts.
Authorities said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
