A three-vehicle crash in Raymond on Monday evening resulted in the death of a Greenwood man.
Seth Hodgkins, 20, was riding a motorcycle north on Route 85, also known as Webb’s Mills Road, at approximately 7:27 p.m. when he collided with a southbound 2012 Toyota RAV4, driven by 23-year-old Seth Thayer of Raymond, as it turned onto Tarkiln Hill Road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that Hodgkins was thrown from his motorcycle and subsequently struck by a southbound 2015 GMC Terrain operated by 55-year-old Christopher Akers of Casco. Hodgkins was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died at the scene.
Emergency response teams were on site, and the crash remains under investigation. There were no further details on injuries or potential lane closures.
