High-speed motorcycle chase on I-10 concludes with crash on off-ramp in Cochise County.

WILLCOX, Ariz. (KVOA) — A motorcyclist faces multiple felony charges after leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit on I-10 near Willcox on May 8.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), a trooper attempted to stop the rider for traveling at 100 mph. The motorcyclist fled, reaching speeds exceeding 125 mph during the chase.

The pursuit lasted approximately 12 miles, culminating with the rider exiting the freeway. Authorities reported the motorcyclist lost control on the off-ramp and crashed off-road, where he was apprehended by troopers.

The rider was evaluated and transported to a local hospital for precautionary treatment of a potential spinal injury but was later released with minor injuries.

Law enforcement has booked the individual into the Cochise County Jail on charges including unlawful flight from law enforcement.

DPS issued a statement reminding the public of the dangers associated with reckless driving and evading traffic stops. “When you choose to flee from law enforcement or ride at extreme speeds, you’re not just risking a citation — you’re risking your life and the lives of others,” authorities said.
