Over the long holiday weekend, the Idaho State Police reported three serious accidents across Idaho highways, resulting in multiple injuries and one fatality.
On July 3 at about 10 p.m., a fatal crash occurred near Anderson Ranch Reservoir in Elmore County. The male driver of a 2026 Kawasaki ATV/UTV lost control and died at the scene. Two passengers were transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.
The second serious incident took place on July 4 at 12:19 p.m. on SH 21 near mile marker 31. A motorcycle collided with a blue Ford Bronco. The 27-year-old male motorcyclist, a Boise City Search and Rescue member, was injured and airlifted to a hospital. The Bronco’s driver, a 46-year-old male from Medford, Oregon, did not sustain injuries. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
On July 6, shortly before noon, another accident occurred at the SH 28 and SH 22 intersection, resulting in multiple injuries. A 23-year-old female from Georgetown, Texas, driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Jeep Gladiator driven by a 51-year-old male from Crestview, Florida. Both drivers and the 67-year-old male passenger in the Grand Cherokee were taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance, while the female passenger in the Gladiator was airlifted.
