SOMERSET, Ky. (June 10, 2026) – A motorcycle collision on KY3091 at Wilson Rd. resulted in one fatality on June 10 at approximately 6 p.m. EST.
According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP), a 2025 Roadster 250 motorcycle operated by 34-year-old Nathan D. Grider from Somerset was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a 2020 Volkswagen Atlas, driven by 32-year-old Shelby L. Crawford, who was making a left turn onto Wilson Rd.
Authorities reported that Mr. Grider sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. Ms. Crawford was also taken to the hospital but has since been released.
The investigation is ongoing, led by Trooper Austin Cornett. Preliminary findings indicate that drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors, though toxicology results are pending.
KSP was assisted at the scene by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Somerset/Pulaski EMS, Somerset Fire Department, and the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. Lane closures were in effect during the investigation.
