Two Dead in Laramie County Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer
LA GRANGE, WY – Two 20-year-olds died in a vehicle collision with a tractor-trailer on Friday, July 24, at 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of US 85 and Wyoming 216.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the victims, Joslyn Hopkins and Brock Burry, were passengers in a Volkswagen that collided with the truck. Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The 24-year-old driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities indicated that speed and driver inattention may have played a role in the accident.
Emergency responders from Laramie County were on the scene, and tow services were called to clear the wreckage. The roadway was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
