LETCHER CO., Ky. (WYMT) — A Letcher County man died on July 31 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash two days earlier.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. on July 29 on KY-1103 in Linefork, according to Kentucky State Police.
Charles Bentley, 67, of Linefork, lost control of his motorcycle, which left the roadway and struck a tree. He and a female passenger received on-site treatment before being airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center.
Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard was informed by the Washington County Medical Examiner’s Office that Bentley was pronounced deceased at the hospital on July 31.
Both individuals were wearing helmets during the crash. An autopsy has been scheduled, and toxicology results are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
