Maine Man, 20, Charged with Drunk Driving After NH Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Severely Injured.

A head-on collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Somersworth, New Hampshire, left a motorcyclist seriously injured Saturday night.

The crash occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Salmon Falls Road. Authorities reported that Connor J. Contella, 20, of Berwick, Maine, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic and was unharmed. He faces felony charges for driving while intoxicated and is currently held at the Strafford County Department of Corrections.

The motorcyclist, operating a 2025 Honda CMX500 and wearing a helmet, was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital before being transferred to a medical facility in Massachusetts. Authorities have not released the motorcyclist’s identity pending family notification.

Emergency responders were on the scene to assist and manage traffic. No further details about potential lane closures or the investigation status were provided.
