Multiple-Vehicle Collision on I-95 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured
BALTIMORE, MD — A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound near Exit 53 resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on October 7 at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to the Maryland Transportation Authority, the collision involved five vehicles, including a commercial truck and several passenger cars. Emergency responders, including the Baltimore City Fire Department and Maryland State Police, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident.
One individual suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. At least four others were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
Authorities closed two lanes of the southbound I-95 for approximately three hours while crews cleared the wreckage and conducted an investigation of the crash. The roadway has since reopened.
