KELLY TOWNSHIP, PA — A motorcycle crash involving a Lewisburg man and a 14-year-old girl occurred at the intersection of Col. John Kelly and Wenner roads on Thursday, Oct. 8, around 4:25 p.m., state police reported.
According to authorities, 73-year-old Karen Graboski of Sunbury was stopped at a stop sign on Wenner Road in a 2025 Nissan Murano when she attempted to turn east onto Col. John Kelly Road. She failed to see a westbound 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by 34-year-old Aaron A. Yoakam of Lewisburg. The motorcycle collided with the front driver’s side of the Nissan.
Both Yoakam and his passenger, a 14-year-old girl from Lewisburg, were ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders from Life Flight transported both individuals to Geisinger Medical Center with suspected serious injuries; the girl was wearing a helmet, while Yoakam did not use safety equipment.
Graboski and her passenger, a 9-year-old girl from Danville, were both wearing seat belts and were taken to Geisinger by WellSpan EMS with suspected minor injuries.
Authorities stated that failing to yield at the stop sign is the primary violation. An investigation into potential charges is ongoing, led by Trooper Owen Sabol.
