BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. — A 38-year-old man faces multiple charges after a motorcycle accident resulted in injuries to an 18-month-old child on February 14.
According to court documents, Aaron Lee Roberson was allegedly driving under the influence and operated his motorcycle without the child wearing a helmet.
Witnesses reported that Roberson was speeding and driving recklessly on a paved road before crashing, which caused serious injuries to the child’s head and face.
Authorities said Roberson left the scene without notifying emergency services and failed to call 911 after the accident.
He is now charged with second-degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.
