VIGO COUNTY, Ind. — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Frye Street and Crossland Road, resulting in one death and charges against the driver.
According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered a deceased woman near the motorcycle at approximately 2:41 a.m. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities reported that the driver, 43-year-old Robert Sekerak, fled the scene and was later brought to an emergency room by an individual unaware of the crash’s severity.
Sekerak has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash and possession of a controlled substance. As of now, the investigation is ongoing, and no information about potential lane closures has been provided.
