A motorcycle accident in Amity Township resulted in one fatality on April 9.
A 22-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot at 9:11 p.m. following the incident reported at approximately 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Haskell Hill Road and Hopson Hill Road, according to the Pennsylvania State Police and the Erie County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities stated a truck traveling east on Haskell Hill Road was turning north onto Hopson Hill Road when it collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was transported to UPMC Hamot; no information on injuries to the truck driver has been provided as of April 10.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
