A 40-year-old man died after being ejected from his motorcycle in a crash on U.S. Route 6 in Pike County on Friday night.
PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in Palmyra Township, according to State Police. Authorities said the man was speeding before his motorcycle collided with a truck, resulting in his ejection.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
The roadway was closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation. Tows were arranged for both the motorcycle and the truck involved.
