A motorcycle crash in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on Saturday resulted in the death of a Massachusetts man and injuries to his wife.
At approximately 12:55 p.m., Wolfeboro police, fire, and Stewart’s Ambulance responded to Route 28 at Trotting Track Road for a reported collision. A Toyota Prius, traveling from Trotting Track Road, struck a Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading south on Route 28.
The motorcycle operator, 58-year-old Glenn LaClaire of Leverett, Massachusetts, was transported to Huggins Hospital before being airlifted to another facility, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. His wife, 58-year-old Tina LaClaire, was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
Authorities confirmed Glenn LaClaire was not wearing a helmet, while Tina LaClaire was. New Hampshire law does not mandate helmets for operators over 18 years old. The driver of the Prius, 89-year-old Nancy Glowacki, was unharmed.
The investigation is ongoing, with charges expected in connection to the crash. Preliminary reports indicate that neither speed nor alcohol were contributing factors. Route 28 was closed for about 90 minutes as emergency crews responded to the scene.
