Major Injury Motorcycle Crash on Highway 50 in Folsom
FOLSOM, Calif., (Sept. 16, 2026) — A major injury motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday morning on westbound Highway 50 near East Bidwell Street.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:38 a.m. and involved a silver Toyota Camry sedan and a motorcycle. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the motorcyclist was cut off by an unknown vehicle, which contributed to the accident. Debris from the disabled motorcycle was scattered across lanes two and three.
Emergency services responded promptly, with paramedics transporting the motorcyclist to a local hospital due to major injuries. The condition of the motorcyclist is currently unknown, and it remains unclear if there were additional injuries related to the incident.
Lanes one and two were temporarily closed to facilitate emergency response and towing services to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
