A motorcycle crash in a Texas residential neighborhood on April 2 resulted in a fire, narrowly avoiding several nearby children.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. as a motorcyclist lost control and crashed on a street. According to authorities, the bike struck a curb and exploded into flames.
Witness Robert Perez reviewed his home surveillance footage, which showed the motorcycle skidding and the rider tumbling before the vehicle caught fire. “I literally looked at the video and said, ‘Oh my God, I cannot believe that just happened,’” he reported.
Perez stated that a neighbor attempted to extinguish the flames with a garden hose as the rider ran across the street while on fire before collapsing in a nearby field.
Authorities confirmed that no children were injured in the incident, and the motorcyclist survived. Perez expressed gratitude that no one besides the rider was harmed.
The footage has circulated on social media, prompting questions about its authenticity, which Perez refuted, emphasizing that the incident was real.
