A motorcycle crash in Summit Township on Sunday evening resulted in the death of a Butler County man and injuries to his passenger, PA State Police reported.
Glen K. Dalton, 59, of Prospect, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger suffered suspected serious injuries and was airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Details regarding the SUV driver have not been disclosed.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Chicora Road and Oneida Valley Road. Authorities said Dalton was traveling south on Chicora Road and attempted to turn left onto the on-ramp for Route 422 when the collision happened. The SUV, heading north on Chicora Road, struck the motorcycle as Dalton made the turn.
Emergency response included local police and medical teams. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing, and road closures are in effect in the area.
