A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Highway 67 in Presidio County on Friday afternoon.
PRESIDIO COUNTY, Texas — The crash occurred near the Elephant Rock landmark and involved two vehicles, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency responders, including Presidio Emergency Medical Services, Marfa Fire Department, and U.S. Border Patrol, were dispatched to the scene.
Authorities have not released details regarding the circumstances of the accident, stating that the investigation is being conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and U.S. Border Patrol agents, the motorcyclist, whose name is withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
Officials urge caution for motorists in the area as the investigation continues.
