Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Amarillo Claims One Life, Three Injured
Amarillo, TX (April 4, 2026) – A motorcycle crash on Bell Street Friday evening resulted in one fatality and three injuries.
The collision occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Bell Street and 54th Avenue. According to authorities, 57-year-old Steven Tobias Guzman was riding his motorcycle north on Bell Street when it struck a white Chevy Silverado on its passenger side. The Silverado was traveling east on 54th Avenue at the time of the crash.
Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver and passenger of the Chevy Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle involved in the incident was speeding, and the driver of the black truck involved fled the scene. The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
As investigations continue, lane closures may be in effect in the area.
