San Antonio, TX (March 18, 2026) — An off-duty San Antonio Police officer sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning on East Houston Street.
The collision occurred around 2:40 a.m. in the 4000 block of East Houston Street, near East Commerce Street. According to authorities, the 28-year-old officer was riding his motorcycle when a 38-year-old man in a sedan made a left turn from Noblewood Drive onto East Houston Street, resulting in the crash.
Witnesses reported that the impact threw the officer from the motorcycle onto the roadway. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the sedan was assessed on-site for additional evaluation; however, no arrests have been made.
The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Roadway conditions and other factors are being considered as part of the ongoing inquiry.
