Motorcyclist Dies in Owego Collision with SUV
Owego, NY (June 5, 2026) – A motorcyclist died in a crash involving an SUV early Wednesday morning, June 3, at the intersection of State Route 434 and Forest Hill Road.
According to the New York State Police, troopers responded to the scene around 3:52 a.m. after reports of a collision with injuries. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures for the motorcyclist, but he was declared deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Warren O. Loza of Vestal. Preliminary investigations indicated that an SUV, exiting Forest Hill Road, did not see the approaching motorcycle, resulting in a collision with the vehicle’s side.
The SUV driver cooperated with authorities and was transported to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for evaluation. No further details regarding the driver’s injuries have been released.
State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
