SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash involving a vehicle on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of State and Main Streets.
According to Springfield Police, officers responded to the scene around 3 p.m. involving one vehicle and two motorcycles.
The vehicle’s driver and one motorcycle operator sustained no injuries. However, the other motorcycle operator, not wearing a helmet, was transported to a Boston hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
A female passenger on the second motorcycle, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Baystate Medical Center and later released.
Authorities noted that the incident is currently under investigation, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
