CATAWBA, S.C. (WBTV) – A motorcycle crash resulted in one fatality and one injury in York County on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. on April 19 along Highway 21 near Poverty Hill Lane.
According to Troopers, a Harley-Davidson and a 2005 motorcycle were traveling northbound when the 2005 motorcycle rear-ended the Harley, causing it to veer off the road and into a ditch.
The rider of the 2005 motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Harley-Davidson rider was transported to a hospital, authorities said.
As of now, neither rider has been publicly identified, and the condition of the Harley-Davidson rider remains unknown.
Authorities are actively investigating the crash.
