MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A 24-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on I-68 on Sunday, October 1, 2023, around 4:20 p.m.
According to West Virginia State Police, the incident occurred westbound near mile marker 13 when James Smith III lost control of his motorcycle.
Smith was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
Authorities report that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
