SALT LAKE CITY — A man died early Wednesday following a motorcycle crash into a concrete barrier in Salt Lake City.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the incident occurred just after midnight near 1100 East and 500 South. The unidentified man, in his 40s, lost control and struck the barrier.
Despite wearing a helmet, the rider sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and there were no reported additional injuries. The road was briefly closed for the investigation, with authorities working to clear the scene.
