DRAPER — A motorcyclist died in a crash on northbound Interstate 15 in Draper on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 1:21 p.m., a black Dodge Journey slowed for traffic at 10800 South when a motorcycle traveling behind it lost control and rear-ended the vehicle, then struck a Ford F-350, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist, a male, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Occupants of the other vehicles were unharmed, authorities said.
The right three lanes of I-15 remain closed as an investigation is ongoing and are expected to remain closed for several hours, authorities confirmed.
