One Dead Following Motorcycle Crash in Sanbornton
SANBORNTON, NH—A 52-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon after crashing into a tree on Route 132, authorities said.
Police responded to the incident at approximately 3:08 p.m. as the motorcyclist lost control while navigating a curve. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
According to New England 511, a segment of Route 132 was closed near Isaac Colby Road for several hours, reopening around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
As of October 6, there have been 101 traffic fatalities in New Hampshire in 2024, including 24 motorcycle fatalities, according to the NH Office of Highway Safety. This total does not include the recent crash in Sanbornton or a separate incident in Francestown on October 7.
