TEMPE, AZ (Local News Wire) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash late Saturday night near Kiwanis Park.
First responders were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. to the intersection of Baseline Road and Mill Avenue, where the motorcyclist was found critically injured, according to Tempe Police.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police reported that the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro failed to yield while exiting Kiwanis Park, colliding with the eastbound motorcycle.
Authorities stated the Camaro’s driver and passenger remained at the scene. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested; he has been booked and released pending multiple charges.
Neither the motorcyclist nor the Camaro driver has been publicly identified. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
