WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a sedan on Thursday, June 25, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Kell West Blvd. and Austin St., according to the Wichita Falls Police Department (WFPD). Authorities reported that the motorcyclist, Corey John Tiemann, was riding westbound when he struck a black sedan that was crossing after stopping at a stop sign.
WFPD Sgt. Paul Newton stated that the motorcycle was not being operated with a helmet at the time of the collision. Emergency responders transported Tiemann to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The intersection was briefly closed as police conducted their investigation into the incident. No other injuries were reported, and the driver of the sedan remained on the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
