CHANNELVIEW, Texas – A motorcyclist died Sunday in a collision with a vehicle on Dell Dale Street, authorities said.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. near the intersection with Wallisville Road, blocking southbound lanes of Dell Dale between Hidden Chase and Hidden Park Drives.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a northbound Mercedes-Benz was making a left turn onto Hidden Park Drive when it was struck by a southbound Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. The force of the impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the bike, landing at the intersection.
Paramedics pronounced the rider deceased shortly before 1 p.m. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released. The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and displayed no signs of intoxication, authorities reported.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
