A 15-year-old boy was arrested early Monday after crashing a stolen Jeep near Antelope Trail and 239th Avenue, causing a power outage.
The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. when the teen took his brother’s Jeep for a ride with friends. The vehicle crashed into an electrical box, resulting in outages for local residents. Authorities reported that the Jeep narrowly avoided a nearby house during the collision.
One passenger sustained minor injuries, and emergency medical aid was provided at the scene. Utility crews have since been deployed to restore power in the affected area.
Charges against the teen include reckless driving, criminal damage, hit and run, and unlawful use of a vehicle, according to law enforcement officials. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
